Solid C of I defense was the story on the afternoon as the Beacons (1-10-1, 0-7-0 CCC) were unable to attempt a shot for the final 23 minutes of the opening half.
Opening the second half on an aggressive run, C of I was unable to break the tie through the first 18 minutes despite six scoring opportunities.
After the penalty kick go-ahead goal, the Coyotes played shut down defense the rest of the contest, yielding just two shot attempts over the final 19 minutes.
C of I will be back in action next weekend in Caldwell for their final two homes games of the 2015 season, playing host to Warner Pacific and Eastern Oregon.
