MOUNT VERNON, Wash. - The College of Idaho swept the doubles' ladder, helping the Lady Yotes to a 7-2 victory in an exhibition match-up against Skagit Valley Community College.
The C of I dominated play early, as Shae Stults and Hayley Hutchings rolled to an 8-1 victory over Sarah Tuemmler and Toria Marcom at No. 1, while Tanya Greenwood and Emily Tashnolidek earned an 8-4 win at No. 2 over Gretchen Lawrence and Christa Spitler and Emilee Chapman and Rachel Webster picked up an 8-1 win at No. 3 over Cady O'Dell and Sam Lindmeier.
The Yotes won 4-of-6 singles' matches, including a dominating performance by Hutchings, blanking Morcom, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2. Both Tashnolidek and Webster picked up their first-ever collegiate victories on the afternoon.
The Lady Yotes will return to action over Spring Break, playing four matches in Hawaii.
