A trio of College of Idaho runners qualified for tomorrow's finals at the NAIA Track and Field National Championships in Maron, Ind.
Hillary Holt placed third in her heat of the 800-meters (2:12.64), Greg Montgomery placed third in his heat of the 5,000-meters (15:19.26), while Mike Hurd set a school record in advancing to the finals of the 400-meter hurdles (52.89).
The women's 4x800 relay team placed ninth in today's finals (9:20.30), just out of the scoring, while both Nick Hampton in the 800-meters (1:53.86) and the women's 4x100-meter relay (47.92) both finished 13th in the semifinals and did not qualify for tomorrow's finals - with the relay squad becoming the first group to crack the 48-second barrier.
Other competitors included Jasmine Sibert, who took 18th in the semifinals of the 400-hurdles (1:07.35) and Jason Hunt, who took 21st in the 5,000-meter semifinals (15:47.75).
A total of seven competitors will be in action tomorrow - Holt in the 800 and 1,500-meters, Sarah Johnson and Kayloni Perry in the 1,500, Montgomery in the 5,000, Hurd in the 400-meter hurdles, Sora Klopfenstein in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and Audrey Youren in the high jump.
